Hello, I’m Joe and I’ve just completed my apprenticeship as a multi-skilled electrician with NTW Solutions
Hi Joe! So, what’s it been like working through your apprenticeship here?
“The apprenticeship has massively grown my confidence not just in technical work but in communicating with teams and planning jobs safely and effectively.”
“It’s helped me develop problem-solving skills and resilience in real-world situations, which you can’t fully learn in a classroom.”
It sounds like it’s helped you learn a lot of different skills, are there any more skills you’ve developed?
“Yeah, I’ve gained hands-on experience across a range of electrical and mechanical systems, which means I now have the skills to work independently and safely on critical infrastructure.”
“It’s given me the knowledge to understand compliance, safety standards, and how important those are in a live environment like the NHS.”
Did you feel supported in your learning?
“Definitely! Throughout my apprenticeship, I’ve been supported by experienced engineers in the team and in college, who’ve taken the time to share their knowledge and guide me.”
What’s it like working in the hospitals?
“It’s rewarding to know that the work I do directly supports the NHS in keeping its buildings safe and operational for patients and staff.”
“Being part of a team that plays a role in supporting healthcare delivery gives the job extra meaning.”
Now you’ve completed your apprenticeship, what’s next?
“Completing this apprenticeship has set me up for a long-term career in electrical engineering, with clear progression opportunities ahead. “
