Estates Officers are a central part of our team

As an Estates Officer you will look after a wide range of engineering systems, services and equipment ensuring they are maintained to a high standard.

The operational team focus on planned and reactive maintenance activities alongside this you will be involved in developing innovative solutions to issues and also in major capital developments and you never know what is around the corner which makes every day different.

We are in the business of maintaining hospitals and other associated sites and our jobs come with a huge sense of satisfaction that you are contributing to supporting the NHS deliver patient care.

About the role

What does the job involve?

Our Estates Officers play a crucial role in making sure that our estate operates in an efficient and safe manner. We maintain hospital sites and that means clinical teams rely on the work we do so they can provide patient care. That makes what we do rewarding and satisfying due to the role we play in supporting better care.

The Estates Officer ensures that work is done to a high standard and the role is varied and interesting as you’ll be looking after a wide range of systems and equipment.

You’ll have experience of working within the full range of health and safety legislation and regulations from electrical installations through to Legionella and a track record of prioritising safety.  

You’ll work with a wide range of skilled trades as you coordinate planned work and deal with emergencies. As well as that you’ll interact with our customers across our sites making sure that what we do meets their needs.
