NTW Solutions has been reaccredited at the Advanced Level in the Good Work Pledge scheme from the North East Combined Authority. This is welcome recognition of the work we do to deliver our strategic priority of being a great and inclusive place to work.
The Good Work Pledge is designed to promote and celebrate organisations that demonstrate excellence in key areas such as fair pay, employee engagement, health and wellbeing, and social responsibility.
Achieving reaccreditation shows that we continue to uphold these high standards, ensuring that we provide a positive and working environment.
As part of our social responsibilities, we have been working closely with Choices College who support young people with learning disabilities and autism into work placements. Working in our different support services gives the students valuable experience and teaches them practical skills, and it also enriches our teams with a fresh new perspective on the role.
We pay the living wage, and all staff have access to an employee assistance programme and occupational health support. This means that our staff are able to access physio or counselling services much more quickly than they otherwise would.
Where we can, our policies are better than the statutory minimum so that we can support our teams. We have a range of tools where staff can get involved in the future of the company and many positive changes we make come from staff suggestions.
We’ve also introduced supportive protocols such as fertility leave and enhanced support for colleagues whose newborn baby needs to spend time in hospital. These meaningful changes were shaped by staff who asked how we could better support people during some of the most challenging moments in life.
To support our staff networks, we have created Facebook groups for staff going through the menopause, for those from culturally diverse background and those with disabilities so there is a forum for colleagues to engage and bond with each other, to help share advice and lift people up.
