We are delighted to announce that we have received a government grant to provide new solar panels on some of our buildings. We are already one of the top mental health trusts for solar power generation and this will add to the solar panels we already have.

NTW Solutions’ Sustainability Team proudly manage sustainability projects and more across Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) sites.

The grant is great news as the solar panels will reduce our electricity bill as well as reducing our carbon emissions. The successful bid was put in by the Sustainability Team within NTW Solutions and is hot on the heels of money to decarbonise the heating system at St Nicholas Hospital and introduce more energy efficient lighting systems.

The money is very welcome external income into the trust which will make us more efficient and save even more money. This successful bid forms part of our work to deliver the Green Plan.
