NTW Solutions has started to offer town planning services to public and private sector clients. The new service has been launched following the appointment of Katherine Brooker, an experienced Chartered Town Planner. Katherine has extensive experience of planning issues and has been involved in major projects in the North East and around the country. This new offering joins a growing list of services provided by NTW Solutions including estates, facilities, and capital development teams.

NTW Solutions was established by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) in 2017 to provide services to the NHS and to other partners. The company was designed from the start to have NHS values of public service alongside a commercial ethos. Any profits earned from services provided go back into the NHS to support patient care. The company has grown since it was established and now provides a wide and growing range of services.

Katherine Brooker has been appointed as Head of Planning and is providing in-house planning services to NTW Solutions and CNTW, delivering a saving to teams over the use of external consultancies. Katherine is also working externally across the region, and is selling the town planning service to other partners in the NHS and beyond.

Katherine has over 20 years experience in town planning, providing strategic as well as site specific advice for public and private sector clients. Katherine has worked for a large range of clients over the years from health trusts to universities, government departments, and a whole range of private sector businesses. Her extensive experience includes project coordination, securing planning permission to achieve best value for land and property, and disposal of surplus assets for development.

Katherine has worked across the CNTW estate for more than a decade providing a full range of planning services to the Trust and NTW Solutions as part of its multi million pound capital programme. Katherine is now working to expand the service offering out to clients across the North East and beyond.
