NTW Solutions has been able to help local charity ReCoCo by supplying a range of chairs which are no longer needed to help the charity furnish their new event space. The initiative will have a double benefit as NTW Solutions and their partners Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust will be able to use the event space, providing a cost effective place for both organisations to hold meetings and events.

The chairs have become available because of a range of team moves on various sites and while they don’t match they are perfectly serviceable and in good condition to start their new life. NTW Solutions has been able to provide chairs as well as a range of other surplus furniture and equipment from a drum kit to sports mats.

NTW Solutions already runs an internal furniture recycling service which teams use before any new furniture purchases are made. This not only benefits the organisation financially but is good for the environment too as less furniture needs to be bought and we avoid potential landfill from disposal of older furniture.

ReCoCo provides a variety of creative, educational and support-based classes for anyone who would find them helpful in their recovery from mental ill health, substance misuse, trauma or distress. They are based in Central Newcastle at Carliol Square and they have recently moved into a large building with a range of bright and airy spaces. The building was formerly offices and there are large open plan spaces for large meetings and events, as well as break out rooms and spaces.

NTW Solutions provides Estates and Facilities services to Cumbria Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and the Trust works very closely with ReCoCo and were extremely keen to help with this request for help.
