Connor Gordon is our NTW Solutions Individual of the Year!
Connor works as a domestic at Walkergate Park, where he is known for the kindness he shows to staff, patients and carers. Colleagues say he makes it his mission to accommodate everyone, showing compassion and understanding in all that he does. He is unfailingly polite, helpful and cheerful. One colleague said he makes them smile every day. Another said: “I can see the effect he has on others as he walks down the corridor. Smiling is infectious and it’s so important in a rehabilitation space like Walkergate Park.” Connor has been described as a living, breathing example of the Trust values.
Café Amelia are our NTW Solutions Team of the Year!
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Ferndene’s Café Amelia. They have been praised for their friendly service and great value food. Parents who visit Ferndene are often extremely upset and the café staff make them feel comfortable, as well as interacting with the young people. One parent said: “When your
child is in hospital two hours from home, it’s horrible. The café staff make such a difference and go above and beyond for young people and their families.” The café team go out of their way to make meals that are personalised and made to order. Described as warm and professional, staff say you’re guaranteed service with a smile.
And huge congratulations to everyone who was nominated, and in particular to those who were shortlisted:
