Triple Success for Procurement Team

Two members of the NTW Solutions Procurement Team have achieved success by competing a trio of courses and qualifications to develop customer service skills and deepen their specialist expertise. Megan Palmer has NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service, achieving a distinction, and Leigh Tidyman has attended a six day Regulated Procurement Academy masterclass, as well as completing the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Ethics Overview Course.

The NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service demonstrates competence and professionalism in customer service. It is based on the national occupational standards for customer service, which define what good customer service looks like. It covers a range of topics such as delivering customer service, understanding customers, resolving problems, improving customer relations, and using customer service technology.

The Regulated Procurement Academy, offered by Achilles, covers the essential aspects of public sector procurement in the UK. It takes an in depth look at a range of procurement topics, including the principles of transparency, equal treatment, non-discrimination and proportionality alongside considering environmental and social aspects of procurement.

The CIPS Ethics Overview Course covers ethical procurement including a range of risk mitigation strategies. The course also covers environmental and sustainable procurement covering topics such as carbon footprints, use of scarce resources, and safe disposal of toxins and toxic materials. In addition fraud, bribery, corruption and transparency are looked at including practical steps to strengthen the integrity of supplier relationships.

Congratulations to both for their success and for the whole Procurement Team for investing in training and development.
